      Inaugural Autism Gala

Join us for our "Inaugural Autism Gala" at the Petroleum Club of Bakersfield with our special guest speaker, Curt Warner of the NFL Seattle Seahawks and author of "The Warner Boys: Our Family's Story of Autism & Hope".  Celebrate the night in Old Hollywood fashion.  Arrive to walk down the red carpet and enjoy an evening of inspiration, dinner and a silent auction to benefit the Autism Society-Kern Autism Network, Inc.  Help us to continue our mission for the autism community in Kern County.  Curt Warner was a standout at Pineville High School in Pineville, West Virginia, graduating in a class of only 90 students. He lead Penn State University in rushing in 1980, 1981, and 1982, and help the Nittany Lions capture their first National Championship in the 1983 Sugar Bowl. When his collegiate career was over, he owned 42 Penn State records. He was named an All-American twice, in 1981 and 1982. Warner was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on December 8, 2009. Warner was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the first round of the 1983 NFL Draft. He was the 1983 AFC Offensive Player of the Year in his rookie NFL season. Warner was a three-time Pro Bowler (1983, 1986, 1987), and was inducted into the Seattle Seahawks Ring of Honor in 1994. Warner owned Curt Warner Chevrolet in Vancouver, Washington from 1999 until 2010. Warner and his wife Ana have three sons, Jonathan, twins Austin and Christian (both autistic), and a daughter, Isabella. He is the Founder and President of the Curt Warner Autism Foundation. Today, he works in the insurance business in Washington.  This event is for adults only-attire is semi-formal/cocktail/business attire.   Sponsorship Opportunities are available as well as Advertising in the Program Gala Booklet.  Contact our office for further information details 661-489-3335.  All advertising ads are 1/4 page and must be submitted by October 1st for print.
