      The American Kestrel

The American kestrel was once the most common raptor across North America, but its populations have experienced a steady, ongoing decline since the mid-80s. Join us as Dr. Cornell explains how she is using an array of techniques (diet, blood, fecal analyses) to assess the physiological state of growing kestrel nestlings and how parental care can play a role in reproductive success and ultimately providing another piece of the puzzle in order to reverse the ongoing decline. This free virtual program is part of our Autumn Lecture Series, targeted towards adults and interested learners, but of course attendees of all ages and backgrounds are welcomed!
