      Homebrewed Comedy at Buried Acorn Brewing Company

      The laughter is on its way with Homebrewed Comedy at Buried Acorn Brewing Company. Mike Peters, Rachel Blithe, Shirelle Kinder, Malcolm Whitfield and MrJaxn take the stage on Friday, Nov. 8.We're taking over the brew house at 7 p.m., so get there early. Tickets are $10 and available online, at the tap room or at the door, which opens at 6 p.m.About the comedians: Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters performed at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York.Rachel Blithe is a comedian and actor who splits time between Syracuse and New York City. She took second place at the Who's Got Next? tournament in Rochester, advanced to the semifinals of the Comedy at the Carlson’s Funniest Person in Rochester contest and the Utica Brews Laugh Contest’s final. She's quick, clever, a little bit musical and always entertaining.Shirelle “Gator” Kinder has graced the Rochester comedy scene with her special brand of anecdotal humor since April. A finalist in the 2018 and 2019 Funniest Person in Rochester competitions, Gator entertains audiences with active storytelling, her complete and utter shamelessness, as well as free advice on one-upping cat-callers and unconventional funeral planning. Give her five minutes of your time and who knows what kind of knowledge you’ll walk away with?Malcolm Whitfield is a stand-up comedian based on the East Coast. A regular at the Comedy at the Carlson in Rochester, Whitfield has opened for Aasif Mandvi, Luenell and Mark Normand. A rising talent, Whitfield has headlined the Finger Lakes Comedy Festival in Ithaca. A Syracuse native who specializes in observational comedy, MrJaxn has spent time spent at the Funny Bone in Syracuse and New York City, He won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and was a finalist in the 2017 Utica Comedy Cup. MrJaxn works all over the state, opened for Tammy Pescatelli in Auburn and was selected to appear on Amazon’s Comics Watching Comics at the Broadway Comedy Club.
